How to cook steamed vegetables

1. Put vegetables in the strainer and close the lid. You can also place washed vegetables in the strainer and shake it up and down to drain water without spilling the content.
2. Insert the strainer in the container. The vegetables contain water, therefore you don’t need to add any extra water in.
3. Heat it up in the microwave. Do not use auto reheat or sensor reheat.

Cooking time indications for reheating in 500W (for 100g portion of food)

• Corns, sweet potatoes, potatoes, pumpkins, carrots, daikon radish, edamame (green soybeans): approx. 2 min 30
• Asparagus, eggplants, sweet green pepper, broccolis, cauliflower: approx. 2 min
• Spinach, Japanese mustard spinach, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, green onion: approx. 1 min 30
• Shimeji mushrooms, raw shiitake mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, bean sprouts: approx. 1 min
• Adjust the cooking time shorter if you are reheating in 600W

Use & Care

• Wash it well after each use and dry it thoroughly before storing.
• Do not close the lid when you reheat it with a microwave. If you place the lid on when reheating, make sure to shift the lid slightly to the side for ventilating the steam. Do not use the auto reheat or sensor reheat functions. Be careful not to burn your hands with the hot container when you take it out of the microwave.
• When you use it for storing food in a refrigerator or freezer, remove the strainer and make sure to place the lid on. Handle with care after taking it out from a freezer or a refrigerator since the container may break easily.
• Do not use it in a dishwasher or dish dryer. It may cause deformation or melting.
• Do not use it in the oven, on the grill, with a toaster or on a direct fire. Also avoid placing it near the fire.
